Federico García Lorca was very much into preserving the old Flamenco. He was shot in 1936, bullet in the head, two in the ass (said the guy with the pistol) since he was queer.
The title comes from one of Lorca’s verses for the Zorongo, a Flamenco piece that’s not heard or seen very often. From an old Spanish folk song, it goes slowly, then shifts to the faster bulerias rhythm. Here’s the verse:
The moon is a little well
Flowers are worth nothing
What are of value are your arms
When at night they embrace me

How admirable,
He who thinks not "Life is fleeting"
When he sees the lightning flash!
