Self-remembering in the fire of sexual intensity is the merciless “struggle of the magicians.”
* * *
In any case, the intensity of consciousness is not given; it forges itself little by little in the physical fire of love.
Michel Camus
Most houses here (this US) have most of these parts. What madness from cubicalization? Hut, cabin, igloo- one space. Hiding genitals from one another: walls and doors. Lots of focus on apples.
Take some walls and ceilings out of say a city house. Watch the space roar with joy. Listen, too. House- room- as the really initial womb. How you handle it will mark- nay, design- your tomb.
I’m indebted to the book GURDJIEFF (Essays and Reflections on the Man and His Teaching, Needleman & Baker, editors, Continuum Co., New York, 1996) for some data, particularly in Poem II. I recommend G.I. Gurdjieff’s life and work. If you want a ful definition of “self-remembering,” see IN SEARCH OF THE MIRACULOUS by P.D. Ouspensky, one of Gurdjieff’s best students.
